Mr. Parvataneni Brahmayya, the founder of Brahmayya & Co., was a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales who set up his practice in India at Chennai. Over the years, Brahmayya & Co. opened offices in several important locations across the country. Recognised for his role as one of the pioneers of the Chartered Accountancy practice in India, he was appointed as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1962. He also served as a Member of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for five terms spanning fifteen years.
